OpportunitiesOpportunities
Trainees can expect clear opportunities for career progression and a broad scope of challenging and interesting work. This could include a variety of cases from low to complex high-value claims, from initial investigation through to trial. Furthermore, working with specific clients requires commercial awareness and expertise in a relevant field of work to understand the context of claims more precisely. Partners encourage early responsibility and expect trainees to manage workloads autonomously and as part of a team, in a supportive and friendly working environment.
Clients are at the centre of everything we do. Understanding their requirements and need for clear, concise legal advice is essential to the longer term business relationship we have cultivated with them. Gaining real insight and knowledge into the way client businesses work, the industries within which they operate and their longer term objectives are key considerations.
It is for this reason that secondments are encouraged at BLM. You may therefore have the opportunity to spend time on secondment with clients or with the Association of British Insurers.
