"Even though we have grown to over 100
partners, the same friendly yet professional
style has been retained."
Read Law at University of Cape Town. Gary trained with a South African law firm and upon qualification he joined a South East London Health Authority as an in-house lawyer. He joined BLM in 1994 and was made partner in 1997. Gary was elected to the firm’s Management Team in 2004.
First impressions of BLM: In 1994, Berrymans was a small insurance practice with a friendly yet professional style – some thirteen years later I am pleased to say that, even though we have grown to over 100 partners, the same friendly yet professional style has been retained.
Best thing about BLM: The firm works as a true meritocracy, recognising hard work and talent across all levels of qualification.
Worst thing about BLM: That it is not situated just off Camps Bay beach in Cape Town.
Best moment at BLM: The three peaks walk in 1996 (Ben Nevis, Scarfell Pike and Snowden) in 24 hours, as a fundraising venture involving BLM and clients.
What do you know now, that you wish you'd known then: That 13 years later I would still be here instead of travelling the world, as was my intention in 1994. |
