Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)Our CSR programme is designed to make a positive difference to the communities where we have a presence. Everyone who works here is encouraged to volunteer for community projects.
Our charities committee consist of trainee solicitors only. They have an expenditure budget which they are tasked to use and raise charitable contributions.
The Prince’s Trust
In January 2007, BLM became patron of The Prince's Trust, a charity well known for its work in helping young people to overcome barriers and get their lives working by offering practical support including training, mentoring and financial assistance. We have pledged to support the Trust for the next four years.
BLM has tasked its first year trainees to lead the firm’s participation in the Trust’s Enterprise Project, which involves raising £20,000 a year through a variety of activities to raise funds.
Other community work
We are involved in several mentoring programmes at the local level, including the Merseyside Diversity Centre, City Gateway in London, which helps disadvantaged young people in Tower Hamlets, and with Manchester’s Metropolitan University.
Pro bono work
We offer regular pro bono work at Liverpool University and in London’s Royal Courts of Justice Citizen’s Advice Bureau.
