Experience |
- Raymond qualified as a barrister in 1997. He joined BLM Manchester in June 2002, re-qualifying as a solicitor in May 2001, and made partner in 2006.
- Previously, Raymond spent 10 years in the Royal Air Force, as an electronic engineer, before joining the legal profession.
- Raymond is the Operational Partner of the Manchester BLM fraud unit.
- His work covers a wide range of fraud issues across home, motor, casualty, property and other business areas from exaggerated claims to organised criminal activities. He also advises regularly on both policyholder fraud and policyholder recovery and criminal prosecutions, contempt of court, perjury and private prosecutions.
- He has acted for a number of insurance companies leading intelligence enquiries, co-ordinating investigations into large organised fraud rings, compiling police complaints under the ACPO guidelines and liaising with the Insurance Fraud Bureau, Solicitors Regulation Authority and other enforcement agencies.
