- Specialist in international construction law and professional indemnity; also covers insurance, reinsurance and environmental law.
- Former national senior partner of BLM now working as consultant to develop the firm's international capability.
- Notable cases include litigation relating to the British Library in London, Pompidou Centre in Paris, the Abu Dhabi Sewerage System and Singapore MRT. Historically, dealt with the Carsington Dam collapse, Great Ormond Street Hospital litigation and successfully obtained the House of Lords’ seminal decision on historic pollution liability in Cambridge Water v ECL.
- Recent cases include a portfolio of international litigation and arbitration, involving disputes in the Gulf, Africa, America, Europe and the Far East.
- Currently involved in a number of high profile international construction and insurance disputes.
