- Defends claims against local authorities and police forces.
- Leads product liability unit with particular expertise in claims against manufacturing and agricultural industries.
- Heads national police unit, handling claims against a number of forces in the south-east and their insurers with notable cases of Rixons v Kent County Constabulary (2000) CA and Khadine v Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis (2005) CA.
- Acted for Commissioner of Police of Metropolis in respect of the Morris Inquiry, the year-long independent inquiry into discipline and employment issues in Metropolitan Police Service.
- Co-ordinator of international network of lawyers and associated offices.
- Qualified in 1989 after reading law at Sheffield University, joined BLM in 1990 and became a partner in 1996.
