- Angus is a partner in BLM Manchester's Commercial team. He specialises in providing advice to corporate clients and insurers in respect of a variety of commercial litigation and insurance matters, and non contentious contract drafting and negotiation.
- Extensive litigation expertise covering high value and complex claims, contractual disputes, product liability claims, policy coverage/determination, injunctive relief, environmental claims, business interruption claims, and cross-border litigation in European and North American jurisdictions.
- In addition he heads a team of lawyers running a number of bespoke schemes for clients.
- An accredited mediator and experienced in using mediation as an effective means of dispute resolution.
- Angus also heads the commercial contracts department in the North of England, advising clients on non contentious matters, contract risks and liabilities, and negotiation. Recent examples include negotiating and drafting a multi million pound contract for services.
- Angus regularly provides training and delivers seminars and workshops to clients on all aspects of dispute resolution. Recent examples include training in best practice in litigation and evidence and a national seminar and workshop series on contract risks and contract law.
- Angus qualified in 1998 at Ivesons solicitors, joined Berrymans Lace Mawer in 2000 and was made partner in 2004.
