Policy development

Alistair Kinley, formerly of the ABI, is head of BLM's policy development group. He has more than 10 years’ experience in policy formulation and is noted for his work leading to the predictable costs and fixed success fee schemes. He is experienced in preparing submissions to government officials and ministers, in co-ordinating test litigation and in facilitating market-wide claims protocols.

He acts as a conduit between government, policy makers and the firm and its clients and is able to provide briefings at an early stage on issues influencing government thinking ahead of draft legislation and is equally able to convey the views of leading industry figures back to government to help shape that legislation. Where there are insurance/claims-related issues that have a direct impact on your operations, Alistair is more than happy to add his lobbying efforts to your own campaigning.
