BLM has a dedicated national team looking after police forces and the emergency services. We can draw on the expertise of specialist lawyers from across the firm’s offices to cover public liability, employers’ liability, road traffic, defamation, public enquiries and officials’ indemnity. We handle employment claims for officers and civilian employees. We also cover non-claims matters such as discipline, proceeds of crime, police property and general advice.

We have acted for the emergency services for over thirty years with a particular specialisation in police work. Our clients include the Metropolitan, Merseyside, City of London, North Wales, Kent, Thames Valley, Cambridgeshire and Nottinghamshire police forces. We also represent Greater Manchester Fire Service.
