Inquiries
BLM has been involved in high profile inquiries. When doing so, we aim to protect the interests of both the institution and the individual/s involved recognising that both aspects are key to the success and integrity of the inquiry. Our involvement includes:
- The Zahid Mubarak Inquiry: we represented one of the doctors in this case of a death in custody of an Asian youth at Feltham Young Offenders Centre when confined with a known racist.
- The Morris Inquiry: instructed to act on behalf of the Metropolitan Police in this inquiry into discipline, professional standards and employment matters. In the debrief document, senior officers described BLM’s contribution as "outstanding".
- Bristol Royal Infirmary Inquiry: We represented five of the doctors who gave evidence to the inquiry.
