BLM Partner appointed as FOIL’s Law Society Representative on the Law Society Council

Berrymans Lace Mawer Partner Michelle Penn has been appointed as the FOIL Law Society Representative on the Law Society Council, with effect from the Law Society’s AGM in July 2009.  

 

Michelle joined BLM in 2000 and became a partner in 2003. She specialises in occupational disease claims and heads the RSI/cumulative back injury unit at BLM’s London office. Michelle has had a number of trial successes in areas such as VWF, stress, including the reported decision of Hadoulis v Trinatours Ltd(an RSI/Fibromyalgia claim).

 

Michelle takes over the post from Tony Prichard who has represented FOIL on the Council for several years. If you have any Law Society issues you would like to raise with Michelle please contact her on michelle.penn@blm-law.com

FOIL exists to provide a forum for the exchange of information between lawyers acting predominantly or exclusively for insurance clients (except legal expenses insurers) either practising within firms of solicitors, as barristers or as in-house lawyers for insurers or for self-insurers. FOIL is also an active lobbying body on matters concerning insurance litigation.
