12 Jan 2012
The Mactavish Report: Corporate Risk and Insurance – the case for placement reform, has been widely debated amongst the insurance sector.
Here, Berrymans Lace Mawer LLP (BLM) partner Helen Grimberg provides a summary in a webcast that looks at the three areas of reform that Mactavish suggest and explains how the report makes excellent use of interviews with insurance buyers, brokers and underwriters when conducting the research.
In three areas Mactavish suggest reform of the placement process that will ensure that:

- There should be a more forensic dialogue about risks during the insurance placement process;
- To facilitate the above there should be an enhanced two-stage tendering process (for placing corporate risk).
