BLM win Health and Safety Law Firm of the Year

BLM's safety, health and environment (SHE) team are pleased to announce that they have been awarded Health and Safety Law Firm of the Year 2011 by Lawyer Monthly magazine.

The Lawyer Monthly Legal Awards 2011 recognises the achievements of those law firms and individuals who have engaged and responded most successfully to the demands being placed on them in the new post-recession business environment and the recent global economic turmoil. The awards are divided into individual and firm categories and have been carefully chosen to reflect the range of practice areas and skills that lie at the heart of the successful law firm or legal department.

The team have been involved in some notable legal work recently which has helped secure their award including advising a plant hire company in relation to a highly publicised crane collapse in the North West, a child fatality case resulting from a lamp post collapse and a major explosion in the North West resulting in a three-mile cordon, extensive police involvement and an aggressive HSE investigation.

The 2011 Lawyer Monthly legal awards recognises all those firms that have dedicated their resources to innovation, built on their depth of expertise and performed outstandingly over the year.

The team's winning profile is published in the November edition of Lawyer Monthly from today.
