BLM secures new panel appointment
27 Sep 2011
Hot on the heels of its appointment to the legal services panel of the NHS Commercial Alliance, national law firm Berrymans Lace Mawer LLP (BLM) has successfully secured its first appointment as a legal provider to members of HealthTrust Europe's framework agreement.
HealthTrust Europe is a group purchasing organisation for the public and private sectors in the UK and Europe. The new framework includes members encompassing 27 NHS Trusts in the Midlands as well as 44 NHS Trusts and bodies in London.
The firm will advise members in respect of healthcare law, including inquests, consent issues and complaints. BLM has also been selected to be part of the framework advising on other areas of law including education and environment.
Commenting on the appointment, BLM healthcare partner Joe Wakeford said: "Our appointment to HealthTrust Europe's framework agreement provides us with an exciting opportunity to expand our working relationship with Trusts across the country. We have bolstered our national healthcare team considerably over the past year to ensure we meet the needs of our clients and continue to position the firm as a leading supplier."
In July this year the firm was selected to provide healthcare law services to NHS Commercial Alliance which consists of NHS bodies in Kent, Surrey, Sussex, Hampshire, Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk.
