This seminar will cover liability issues peculiar to this forever changing industry. We commence with an update on package holiday litigation - particularly relevant given the recent collapse of various UK tour operators. As such events increase so does the incidence of class action. Our ‘holiday highlights’ talk addresses this issue whilst also investigating accidents caused by embarking/disembarking flights and the liability of the airline for in transit events.
We continue with a look at liability issues arising in connection with airside safety, including the airline/ground handling relationship and manual handling. To conclude, we will look to the future, with update on Lord Justice Jackson's cost reforms, Rome II, passenger rights and other current legal reforms.
As always, there will be plenty of opportunity for questions and discussion involving what we hope will be a lively and contributory audience.
Places may be limited to two per organisation and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
