Health & Safety seminars, London, Manchester and Leeds

Event Photo

Our series of seminars have been tailored for health and safety directors, finance directors, insurers, brokers and in-house legal teams who may be involved in aspects of the regulatory investigation and aftermath following a serious incident or near miss.

Each seminar will provide delegates with practical guidance for an investigation and its related consequences, along with tactics for dealing with the HSE, police and/or local authority inspectors.

Our speakers will cover the developments in the health and safety arena over the past 12 months and look to the challenges ahead. We will consider the Health & Safety (Offences) Act and sentencing guidelines, which have significantly increased the sentencing options available to the criminal courts, following fatalities, and will review the relevant and practical impact of these changes.

In addition, we will look at the progress of the first case brought under the Corporate Manslaughter Act and what this means for organisations and their insurers (where relevant).

Our seminars include a choice of breakout sessions. Workshop 1 will look in detail at the practicalities of an investigation, while workshop 2 will consider the issues faced by those involved in funding the cost of the investigation and its consequences. Delegates will have the opportunity to choose the most relevant workshop session when booking.

Our speakers have been drawn from our national Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) team. As always, there will be plenty of opportunity for questions and discussion involving what we hope will be a lively and contributory audience.

As advised in the programme, there will be a choice of two workshops.

Please remember to include your preference when booking your place.
