Welcome to our website. Amongst its pages you will see that we actively engage in reviewing the shaping of the law. This is not just through changes to case law consequent on our pursuit of cases to the higher courts (and, as importantly, avoiding higher court judgments on areas of law which are potentially unfavourable to our clients) but also in consultation with Government and other bodies which develop legal policy, regulations and legislation. Our Head of Public Policy, who is a member of the Civil Justice Council co-ordinates our work in this area.
We promote discussion between our clients through our sponsorship of the Post Magazine Claims Club which brings together claims managers on a quarterly basis and enables them to consider topical issues in the claims arena and network in a “neutral” environment.

We further enhance our public policy profile through the recent commencement of Henry Bermingham’s Presidency of the Forum of Insurance Lawyers. His year will be especially busy in supporting efforts to change the claims process, to ensure speedy and fair compensation for accident victims at a cost which is appropriate and sustainable for society. Our submissions to the Ministry of Justice on this and other issues can be found using the following links. We hope that you find them useful and informative.

“A feeling that you're a top client - we do feel they value us. A team approach so you feel you're working together.”
“It's the ability to move beyond being a solicitor who accepts a file to working with us strategically. They're also well connected in the market and with industry bodies. This gives us a head start on how things are likely to move so we can react. They are keen to offer a strategic partnership and that's an area where no one is matching them.” |
